31-55

Well, yesterday I traveled to Tremonton, Utah to support my friend, Carla in going to her home region's singles conference. I had a blast! The roads weren't so great on the way up, but by the time the thought that maybe it wasn't such a great idea to travel that day entered our minds, we were too close. Her mom fed us a nice lunch like all good moms would do. Then we repeated Carla and my mantras on the way to the stake center. I had to remind Carla of hers- something about an island of peace and woman of poise. Mine's nice and simple- strong, white woman. It could work for any race, really. Don't judge me.

We chuckled at the rules written on a posterboard that guarded the room we first entered. First rule, "ALL DIVORCES MUST BE FINAL". Carla took a picture with her phone. I can't remember the second, the first was so entertaining.

We walked in and were greeted by a friend who we hadn't seen in ages! She was visiting from Oregon. Random. We even met one of the two (maybe three) men there our age. I'm curious how people interpret "mid-singles" or "31-55". There were a lot of grey-haired people. But they seemed like nice people and I think we were pretty content with our little group, so I guess that's all that matters:) Good times keep rolling!

You are definitely a strong, white woman. :) I want to hear about the Dots...

wait. I thought your mantra was 'the wiry ones are the strong ones.' But, either way, I sense a theme to your mantras :)

So, I don't know why I've never found your blog before this. But, at any rate, my favorite part was "All Divorces Must be Final." Just remember: Dating is awkward some of the time, being the cat lady is awkward all of the time. That is wisdom I got from your apartment that changed my life.
