'Tis the season . . .

. . . for thankfulness.

I am especially grateful for a broken heater. For four days my roommates and I wore our outside clothes inside, appreciated going to work (to get warm), made plans to be in heated places after work, and stayed in the warm covers in the morning a little longer than usual. But, if it weren't for my broken heater, I would never have come to know how much I love my bathroom. It was the perfect size for heating quickly with a space heater. The toilet doubled as a seat on which to eat my breakfast, study the scriptures, check my email and other such things. Mostly I'm grateful for discovering the room's use as a venue for my guitar practice. My fingers were warm, my roommates didn't have to listen to me and something about the space made my voice tolerable.

I'm also grateful for a roommate that comes up with fantastic Halloween costume ideas. No, we are not tennis partners. Dig back into your memory . . . the Doublemint Twins. We even practiced folding pieces of gum into our mouths, ever so gracefully.

Lastly, I am grateful for a class that makes me happy to go to work.

I'm glad to know you had so many great experiences in your bathroom. I don't think I could eat a meal sitting on the toilet. Something about it just doesn't work for me.

Your class is so cute! Seeing all the kid costumes is what makes it tolerable for me. BTW I love space heaters too.

ah... I am thankful for thankfulness blogs.

I think I'm with Jeff. Every time I try to eat something on the toilet, I have to stop and resume when I'm done. Just something about it.

I too love the bathroom. I would think, though, that all the noise from practicing guitar would get painful.
