A Little Inspirational Story
I thought I would tell a little story of something that happened to me last week. I might have thought about a certain friend who has blogged about this very issue.
I met my sister-in-law, Cathy, to rollerblade in the canyon. She was going to use my bike, which after getting on it, promptly fell off and got some pretty bad scrapes. While she went home to clean herself up, I went up the trail a bit and back. By the time I got back, she was all cleaned up and ready for a ride (displaying more ruggedness than I expected from her!). As we rode up the canyon, I spotted a two kid stroller being pushed my a mother as she ran. I remembered it because on my solo ride, I had said a silent thank-you that I didn't have children and didn't need to push a stroller while exercising. Not that I wouldn't welcome the chance to have children, I just feel I should recognize the blessings of my situation right now. Anyway, as we zoomed by the stroller again, I heard one of the kids yell to the other, "See, I told you it was a girl!"
I did laugh out loud.
